Pet owners gathered with a good cause on Sunday in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska – On Sunday afternoon, those who own pets volunteered their assistance for a worthy cause. Cherished Images by Beverly organized a Christmas event called Fur the Love of Christmas Event. They took pictures of the pets while they were dressed up in festive costumes, such as Santa Claus, reindeer, or elves.

The Phoenix Remix Animal Rescue, which is situated in Lincoln, will receive a donation in the amount equal to the cost of those photos. They are a rescue organization that works with humane societies to place animals in foster homes so that the animals may become acclimated to living with families.

They are looking for donations of food and supplies to assist those animals as the holiday season draws closer.

Rod Johnson, the owner of Beverly’s Cherished Images, said, “I’m not sure how many dogs I have, but I know the medical expenditures on medical and pet keeping fees are exorbitant, and this helps supply funding for that.”
