Over 40 minors cited for MIP near Pilger
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday sued dozens of people for underage possession of alcohol.
At about 10 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a complaint from a party of underage alcoholics at a lakeside residence in Willer’s Cove southwest of Pilger, Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger said. Upon arrival, the sheriff’s office ascertained that several minors consuming alcoholic beverages were present inside the house.
The party host voluntarily came to the front door and allowed entry into the residence, Unger said. Subsequently, 41 minors between the ages of 17 and 20 were cited for minor possession/consumption of alcohol.
Pender’s underage guest was cited for aiding and abetting MIP. A large amount of consumed and unopened alcoholic beverages were inside the residence, Unger said.
