One teenager arrested in connection with a string of offences
Omaha, Nebraska – A teenager was taken into custody by Omaha Police in connection with a series of incidents now under investigation.
According to officials, a 17-year-old was arrested and put into the Douglas County Youth Center.
Omaha Fire Department’s Arson Investigations Unit and Omaha Police are still looking into the series of incidents.
Officers responded to the vicinity of 82nd and Hascall St. on Tuesday morning after receiving complaints about five to six juveniles causing damage to property in the neighborhood. According to the statement, they found 30 vehicles with slashed tires, five trash cans on fire, and a theft at the Cake Gallery. The cakes stolen from the Cake Gallery were thrown at vehicles’ windshields in the area.
According to reports, the Cake Gallery’s inventory was badly damaged, with the majority of the items being ruined.
