On Saturday evening, a pedestrian was hit by an accident in Omaha.
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Police say an elderly man has died after being hit by a car Saturday night.
Officers were called to 32nd and L Streets at 11:14 p.m. Saturday in connection with an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, Omaha police said.
Police say the 22-year-old driver of a 2019 Honda Civic was driving westbound on L Street when he hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified by police as 76-year-old John G. Gomez of Omaha, was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say there is no pedestrian crossing at the scene of the accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
