Omaha’s ‘Walk & Roll for People with Disabilities’ event reaches highest attendance on Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. (Nebraska) — The largest-ever Walk & Roll for people with disabilities took place this Sunday.

The event is hosted by the Meyer Foundation for the Disabled and raises money for adult entertainment programs at the Monroe-Meyer Institute of UNMC.

Activities before the walk included face painting and photos with the 501st Legion, a group of volunteers dressed as Star Wars characters.

This year, the event had the largest number of participants in history – more than 350 people.
