Omaha subway endures heavy snowfall
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — On Friday, the Omaha metro continued clearing snow that covered the area the day before.
The National Weather Service said 2 to 8 inches of snow fell in various parts of the Omaha metro. 6 First Alert Weather reports showed 4 inches were reported at Eppley Airfield, but 8 inches at 72nd and Dodge Streets, and 9 inches at the west and south end of the area.

On Friday, the snow emergency ended in the city of La Vista.
“The plow crews passed through the city, and all the streets and quarters were cleared of snow,” the city news reported. “When you see a plow truck today, please wave to them in gratitude for their tireless work during this storm.”
Fremont was also supposed to end on Friday, but Nebraska City still had until Saturday.
Nearly 3,000 OPPD customers in Douglas County experienced power outages on Friday morning, but it is not yet known if the outages were caused by the weather.
The Nebraska State Patrol said it responded to more than 250 weather-related incidents Thursday, most of which occurred in the eastern part of the state. The Iowa State Patrol said they had 338 support calls Thursday, 157 of them accidents and 191 driver assistance calls.
