Omaha shooting incident on Monday night fatal for one person, teenager arrested for the incident

OMAHA, Nebraska – After a guy was found dead, the police say they have detained a young child who is only 14 years old.

At approximately 7:27 p.m. on Monday evening, officers from the Omaha Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the vicinity of 72nd and Country Club Road.

When the police came, they discovered a male victim, who was later identified as Mr. Parker (pronounced “Mister” Parker), who was 28 years old and from Omaha.

After being taken to Nebraska Medical Center, Parker’s death was confirmed there.

The Omaha Police Department has identified a youngster who was discovered around 78th and Weber as a suspect in the case. The boy is 14 years old. The teen was charged with manslaughter as well as using a firearm in the commission of a felony when he was placed into the Douglas County Youth Center.
