OMAHA, Nebraska — Due to the holiday on September 1, garbage, yard waste, and recyclable material collection will all be delayed by one day the following week in Omaha, according to the Public Works Department.
The materials that are normally collected on Monday should be put out for collection on Tuesday, the materials that are normally collected on Tuesday on Wednesday, and the materials that are normally collected on Wednesday on Thursday. The normal garbage collection for Thursday will take place on Friday, and the garbage collection for Friday will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
On the day of collection, the materials must be placed where they may easily be collected no later than six in the morning.
The week of September 12 through September 16, collections will resume on a daily basis, as per usual, Monday through Friday.
