Omaha Public Works confirmed that several roads in Omaha will be closed starting this week
OMAHA, Nebraska – Beginning this week, access to a number of streets in Omaha will be restricted.
In order to complete the installation of a traffic signal truss, the junction of North 120th Street and West Maple Road will be blocked beginning on Friday, September 23 at 9 p.m., according to Omaha Public Works. The restriction will be in place for the duration of one night.
Nicholas Street will be closed between North 14th and 11th Streets beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 19, and remaining closed for the next three months for sewer replacement.
Bennington Road, between 216th and 225th Streets, will be closed for work beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20 and continuing through 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21. This information comes from the Douglas County Engineer.
Because there will be no designated diversion, motorists will be responsible for determining their own alternative routes.
