Omaha pro-choice activists gathered at the steps of the Douglas County Courthouse on Saturday
OMAHA, Nebraska – Saturday marks exactly three months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
On the steps of the Douglas County Courthouse, activists gathered to hear from candidates who have expressed support for abortion access.
Among the speakers were Democratic gubernatorial candidate Carol Blood, District 8 Senator Megan Hunt, and Douglas County attorney candidate Dave Pantos.
Supporters assert that they will continue to make their voices heard.
Audrey Horn, an activist, affirms, “I believe we need all generations.” “We must have all the little children, their grandmothers, and their mothers talking about it, as well as the males.” We need more males to speak up about it. Men must realize that every pregnancy involves a male partner. Therefore, they must be aware of the situation to ensure that healthcare is lawful.”
