Omaha police report results of forced drunk driving operation
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Omaha police successfully conducted two drunk driving enforcement operations.
OPD worked in conjunction with Project Extra Mile, which provided a special operation grant. From Saturday to Sunday, March 11 and 12, two operations were carried out throughout the city.
There were 76 convictions and 13 arrests. 25 tickets were issued for speeding and/or reckless driving, 7 for drunk driving, 20 for lack of registration or insurance, and 13 for other traffic violations.
Five more tickets were issued for driving with a suspended license or other violations of the rights.
Several stops led to numerous violations.
