Omaha Police Department to fight workers shortage with hiring new officers starting March 1, no previous experience required

Omaha, Nebraska – The Omaha Police Department announced they are about to hire new officers starting March 1.

According to multiple reports, the department, that currently has workers shortage, will provide several benefits for those interested to join the police department.

The department added that no previous experience in the law enforcement is required for applying.

The starting yearly pay is about $50,000, with bilingual and college degree incentive pay available.

Among all the benefits, there are 11 paid holidays, retiree health care, and opportunities for advancement.

The Omaha Police Department said those interested can apply from March 1 to March 31.
