Omaha police are asking for public’s help in locating a suspect believed to be responsible for December bank robbery

Omaha, NE – The Omaha Police Department is asking for public’s help in locating a suspect believed to be responsible for the late December bank robbery.

According to them, the main suspect in the case is the 28-year-old Traynell Toney who is accused for the robbery at the First National Bank that took place on Dec. 20, 2021 inside the Hy-Vee near 52nd and Center streets.

The local authorities are also seeking information about the suspect’s vehicle, a dark grey Chevrolet SUV.

Toney is well-known offender as he has prior arrests. The police confirmed that Toney was arrested in 2017 for a robbery at the U.S. Bank inside Baker’s Supermarket near 90th and Fort streets and a robbery at the U.S. Bank inside Baker’s Supermarket near 132nd and West Maple.

He was sentenced to two years in prison in March 2018 after pleading guilty and released in December 2020.
