Omaha man was shot, injured and transferred to hospital in accidental shooting incident

OMAHA, Nebraska – An apparent accident-related shooting resulted in the hospitalization of one individual.

Friday morning about 3 a.m., the incident occurred on Erskine near Grant in Omaha.

Two roommates were cleaning a firearm when it discharged, according to Omaha police.

One of the housemates was shot in the leg.

Fortunately, the injury appears to be rather minor.
