Omaha house fire on Friday evening severely damaged a house, no injuries or deaths reported

OMAHA, Nebraska – On Friday evening in Omaha, firefighters responded to a report of a house fire and rapidly extinguished it.

The Omaha Fire Department reports that at 6:31 o’clock on Friday evening, workers were dispatched to a house fire that was located around 157th and Drexel Circle.

As soon as the firefighters arrived, they could see smoke coming from the structure, thus they determined that there was already an active fire.

The fire was swiftly extinguished, and there were no reports of any injuries.

OFD reports that incorrect disposal of smoking materials was the cause of the fire that occurred.

Damages of around $50,000 were brought on by the fire.
