It is also known to relieve nausea and vomiting. Put one teaspoon of cleaned barley (without husk) in one liter of cold water. Let it boil and leave it on high heat for another ten minutes. Strain it using cheesecloth and drink it warm, twice a day. Barley mucilage that remains after cooking is an important dietary food that helps with digestion problems and stomach pains.
