Notes from the Madison County Board of Commissioners meeting

The Madison County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday.

Members present: President Troy Uhlir, Ron Schmidt and Eric Stinson.

Others present: Anne Pruss, county secretary; Richard Johnson, county highway superintendent; Todd Volk, sheriff; no citizen; a media representative.

Duration of the meeting: 1 hour and 28 minutes, including the meeting as an equalization board.

He recited his oath of allegiance and had a moment of silence. Noted that the law on open meetings is published and followed.

— Approved the purchase of a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia 125 truck for $48,000 from Freightliner Truck Center Co.

— Acknowledgment receipt of public bond for Lori A. Pfeifer as treasurer of the city of Madison.

– Rescheduled the public hearing on the road plan for one and six years for Tuesday, February 28.

— Canceled county check made out to Copple Rockey Schlecht & Mason.

— Written reviews reviewed and complaints reviewed and processed.
