North Platte celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a parade

NORTH PATTE, Neb. (Nebraska) – The St. Patrick’s Day Parade saw many people from Lincoln County participate in activities on Friday.

There were about 30 entries that attended the parade. Everyone from businesses, to the Sheriff’s Department, to non-profit organizations and the St. Pats State Second Basketball Team attended and handed out candy to any onlookers who enjoyed the parade.

“Even if it’s cold outside and a little windy, the community shows up and shows businesses and entrepreneurs that everyone involved at all times is great,” said event organizer Jacob Childers “We love to have him, we love to see him and I think that’s what a small town like North Platte is about; showing up and being a part of the community.
