Night shooting in Omaha sends one to hospital
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Police say one person was injured in a nighttime shooting in northern Omaha.
Officers responded to ShotSpotter activation near 27th Street and Laurel Avenue at 00:21 Sunday, according to the Omaha Police Department.
Arriving officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was sent to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Police say officers were told that a large crowd had gathered in a nearby house and there may have been a riot prior to the shooting.
