New lead uncovered in search of missing elderly Nebraska couple
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Nebraska law enforcement and volunteers, led by the Aurora Police Department, searched unsuccessfully for Robert and Loveda Proctor for nearly a month.
But on Friday, a new lead was discovered.
APD used CCTV video to confirm that the proctors were at the pump house and storage room along Highway 6 in Hastings on January 12 at 1:02 am. They left for the west.
The search for the proctors has been ongoing since they were reported missing on January 14, the Aurora police chief told 3 News Now on Friday afternoon.
The discovery pinpoints the couple’s last known location by several hours. An update from the family on January 30 reports that their last known location is traveling east on W 6 near Giltner at 10:25 pm. Giltner is about 18 miles northeast of Hastings.
3 News Now also spoke to the family on Friday morning in front of the new host. Then the couple’s granddaughter said that a well-known team of volunteer divers, often involved in cold affairs, would help in the search. The granddaughter said that nothing was found that would lead them to search underwater.
