Nebraska woman, suspected of killing at least five people, have been arrested in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Nebraska – An inquiry resulted in the arrest of an Elwood woman who reportedly plotted the murder of five individuals.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, an investigation was initiated after the Gosper County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from a concerned individual.
The report said that a 39-year-old lady from Elwood, identified as Valerie Miller, was making questionable remarks.
An undercover NSP investigator then contacted Miller online. Miller allegedly consented to see the investigator in person at a Lexington location.
The two individuals met on Monday afternoon. During the meeting, the investigator allegedly learned that Miller intended to kill five individuals. Miller allegedly attempted to hire the investigator to assassinate the five individuals.
Miller drove almost two miles after the conclusion of the conference before being stopped by authorities. She was arrested without complication.
Miller was placed in the Dawson County Jail on charges of murder conspiracy, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and terroristic threats.
The case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol, Gosper County Sheriff’s Office, CODE Task Force and FBI.
