There is still time to participate in the upcoming January Nebraska State Patrol recruit camp. Camp 67 is accepting applications until Monday, October 3 for consideration.
Colonel John Bolduc, superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol, states, “You can still apply, go through our hiring process, and receive a job offer in time to begin training as a Nebraska State Trooper in January.” As a trooper, you have unrestricted career prospects in communities large and small throughout the state.
On June 16, 2023, recruits of Camp 67 will obtain their badge. Training for Camp 67 recruits will commence on January 3, 2023. Recruits earn $22.49 per hour during their time in the academy and will receive an immediate boost upon earning the rank of trooper. In addition to medical and life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and great retirement benefits, soldiers receive medical and life insurance.
At the NSP Training Academy, recruits will undertake 22 weeks of intensive training to acquire all of the required abilities to become Nebraska State Troopers. In addition, recruits will have the chance to meet with troopers and investigators who are professionals in a variety of speciality jobs available to troopers throughout their careers. Patrol, Investigative Services, Carrier Enforcement, Drone Pilot, SWAT, K9, Community Service, and Aviation are among the numerous available career opportunities.
To apply, you must be a United States citizen and at least 21 years old by the time you take the oath of office on June 16, 2023. Applicants must possess either a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
