Nebraska State Patrol identified the body found in a trunk after a crash on Friday as 49-year-old Michelle Roenz
GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska – A lady whose body was discovered in a trunk following an accident has been identified.
Michelle Roenz, 49, was recognized by the Nebraska State Patrol as the deceased woman found in a vehicle’s trunk after a pursuit on Friday afternoon.
The body was discovered after the NSP launched a pursuit near Grand Island involving a car driven by a Texas teen of 17 years of age. The automobile was allegedly associated with a Texas homicide case.
KPRC, another NBC station, identified the 17-year-old as the woman’s son.
The body was discovered in the trunk after the vehicle crashed near Wood River.
After the collision, the 17-year-old was taken into custody and moved from St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island to an Omaha hospital for treatment of his crash-related injuries.
The Nebraska State Patrol and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Texas are planning the 17-year-extradition old’s after he is released from the hospital.
Friday afternoon, near Grand Island, the Nebraska State Patrol discovered a body in the trunk of a car during a pursuit along Interstate 80.
