Nebraska State Patrol confirmed that 40-year-old man was arrested with more than 380 pounds of suspected marijuana in Waco
WACO, Nebraska – During a traffic stop on Interstate 80 close to Waco, the Nebraska State Patrol discovered more than 380 pounds of what is believed to be marijuana. As a result, one person was taken into custody.
According to the announcement, on Wednesday morning at approximately 7:25 a.m., a trooper saw multiple traffic offenses on an eastbound Chrysler van that was located one mile east of the Waco exit. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer was able to pick up on the distinct aroma of marijuana emanating from within the vehicle.
Troopers searched the vehicle and discovered what they believe to be 387 pounds of marijuana hidden inside cardboard boxes in the back of the vehicle. Jimma Tot, age 40, from Sandy Springs, Georgia, was the driver of the van when she was detained. She was charged with possession of marijuana in excess of one pound, possession with the intent to deliver, and lack of a drug tax stamp. The York County Jail is where Tot is currently being held.
