Nebraska soldiers arrest a correctional worker for sexually assaulting a colleague
LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) — Soldiers arrested a state correctional worker on Monday for sexually assaulting a co-worker, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
In October, investigators received a report from the Nebraska Department of Corrections regarding an assault.
The reported assault took place at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, the patrol said.
On Monday, according to patrol, detectives arrested James Cherry, 33, at his home in Humboldt.
He was arrested on charges of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault. Cherry was lodged in the Johnson County Jail.
