Nebraska prison officer arrested on suspicion of raping colleague
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) — A Nebraska prison officer has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
According to the Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS), James Cherry, 33, was arrested on Monday by a Nebraska state patrol at his home in Humboldt for first and third degree sexual assault.
The NDCS reports that Cherry is an employee of the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution and was arrested after investigating a report of sexual abuse against a colleague in October 2022.
