Nebraska man accused of creating child porn was arrested and placed in Grand Island jail
GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska – Following his arrest for manufacturing child pornography, a guy from Grand Island has been taken into custody by the FBI.
The 33-year-old defendant, Scott Meyer, is charged with visual portrayal of obscene sexual material in the Hall County court system. On September 26, he is going to have a hearing regarding probable cause.
According to the paperwork from the court, officers from the FBI and deputies from Hall County had a warrant when they searched Meyer’s house on Thursday night. Meyer came clean about his involvement in the production of child pornography during an interview with the FBI. The agents from the FBI stated that the photographs showed youngsters engaging in obscene behaviors.
According to the public records of the state, Meyer was convicted of a sexual offense in 2013, making him a registered sex offender. Meyer faces the possibility of serving up to four years in jail if he is found guilty of the pornography accusation. He has a bail set at $100,000 and is now being detained in the Hall County jail.
