Nebraska has the second lowest unemployment rate in the country

OMAHA, Nebraska – The preliminary rate of unemployment in Nebraska for the month of July remains robust.

The seasonally adjusted rate is 2%, which is a tenth higher than last month.

But 0.5% less than this time last year.

The Nebraska Department of Labor reports that our state has the second-lowest unemployment rate in the nation.
