Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen Announces New NDOT Director

LINCOLN, Nebraska (WOWT) — Governor Jim Pillen has selected a new director for the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

On Friday, Pillen announced that he had appointed Vicki Kramer as director of NDOT.

“Vicki brings a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors to continue to transition our state’s transportation system into the 21st century,” Pillan said. “She will be a transformational leader for the Department of Transportation and the person we need to accelerate the completion of Nebraska’s vital four-lane highway system plan and roll out 21st-century infrastructure across the state.”

Vicki Kramer was previously Head of Infrastructure Markets and Strategy at Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering. She also worked with NDOT from 2016 to 2020 in several roles.

Kramer’s appointment came after former director John Selmer announced his resignation.

Earlier this week, Pillen announced Moe Jamshidi as interim director of NDOT to take Selmer’s place as he sought a permanent appointment.
