More than 70 cyclists gathered for the eleventh annual Frosty Bike Ride.

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska). Warmer-than-usual weather made Saturday perfect for getting out into the fresh air, and some people did just that.

More than 70 cyclists turned out for the 11th annual Frosty Bike Ride even though Saturday morning was anything but frosty.

Stephanie Spearman, who organized the event, said that with temperatures in excess of 40 degrees, cyclists from all walks of life came together for a day of exercise and fun.

“We tend to attract a lot of people and I think everyone is just dying to go out,” Spearman said. “Get on their bikes and just do something fun and get involved with your friends.”

After the race, the organizers fed the cyclists. The event was aimed at helping to work with the population. The organizers collected socks for the People’s City Mission and gave one lucky person a free bike.
