More than 100 Dallas firefighters responded to a fire at a vacant hotel along the Stemmons Corridor early Tuesday morning

DALLAS, Texas – Tuesday morning, more than one hundred firemen responded to a fire at a vacant hotel in the Stemmons Corridor.

Multiple small fires were reported throughout the 13-story hotel near West Mockingbird Lane and the North Stemmons Freeway, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. There was visible smoke billowing from the building.

It was the second time in just a few hours that firefighters responded to the neighborhood. Four hours earlier, they were called to extinguish flames at a neighboring mid-rise hotel.

After the first fire, one individual was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

In the second incident, no one was injured, but several homeless individuals had to be taken off the site.

Both flames’ origins are still under investigation.
