Monday morning car fire incident in Lincoln fatal for one person, local authorities confirmed
LINCOLN, Nebraska – On Monday, officers from the Lincoln Police Department responded to a tragic automobile fire that occurred near the intersection of 14th and Superior Streets.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Superior Place Apartments at approximately 11 a.m. after a small SUV was observed completely engulfed in flames. A male victim’s body was discovered outside the driver-side door of the vehicle, where he had been pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim, as well as their age, has not been made public at this time.
When Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. As a result of the incident, some of the neighboring windows were broken.
Both the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Fire Inspectors and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Team are currently conducting an investigation to determine what caused the catastrophe.
As a result of the event, a portion of the parking lot for the Superior Place Apartments is temporarily inaccessible.
