Missing Lincoln inmate returned to community correctional center
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) — An inmate who allegedly went missing from the facility in Lincoln turned up the next day.
According to the Nebraska Department of Corrections, 30-year-old Dakota Parrot is back in custody after allegedly failing to return to the facility from his community job on February 17.
Authorities say Parrott surrendered the next morning and was taken to the Lincoln Reception and Treatment Center.
The Correctional Service reports that the Lincoln Community Correctional Center has a low incarceration rate and inmates are allowed to be able to work and attend school without direct supervision.
