Missing elderly couple from Aurora found dead
BUFFALO COUNTY, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Couple Aurora, Robert and Loveda Proctor, missing since January, were found dead Saturday afternoon.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a citizen at around 3:15 p.m. Saturday after finding a vehicle stuck on a low-maintenance road north of 100th Street and Keystone Road, authorities said.
Deputies were able to find a car that was identified as the missing car of the Proctor, Nebraska, couple Robert and Loveda, police said.
According to the BCSO, two adults were found dead in the vicinity of the scene, and further investigation identified them as Robert and Loveda Proctor. Foul play is not suspected. The Buffalo County Attorney’s Office ordered an autopsy.
The investigation is ongoing and involves the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the Aurora Police Department and the Kearney Police Department, with the assistance of the Kearny Volunteer Fire Department.
