Military helicopter almost crashed in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Wednesday afternoon, pilots of a Nebraska Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopter made an emergency landing in a field near the Lincoln Airport.

According to MAJ Scott Ingalsbe of the Nebraska National Guard, the crew noticed an aircraft problem approximately 3 p.m. and made the decision to ground the helicopter as a precaution.

None of the three crew members were injured.
