Mild temperatures with extraordinary conditions from Friday to Monday
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (Nebraska) -SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP)- After a dry day Thursday, conditions will improve Friday through Sunday with clear skies and warmer temperatures.
With high pressure controlling the area this weekend through Monday, this will bring a southeast to southwest flow across the region and this will bring us warmer temperatures throughout the viewing area, especially with the Super Bowl weekend. The highs will be in the 40s to mid 50s during the time period and there will be plenty of sunshine to offer during the duration. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 10 and 20 degrees with clear skies and calm winds.

As we head into Valentine’s Day and Wednesday of next week, we will monitor the potential for snow accumulation for the area. A storm system will move into the area during this time frame. Details on timing, accrual amounts and locations will be released in the coming days as we get closer to this event. Cooling is expected regardless of outcome with highs in the 20s and 30s Wednesday through Thursday.
