Midterm Elections are coming soon, this is how Chicago residents are advised to check their voter registration

Chicago, Ill. – Even though it may still feel like summer, the fall 2022 midterm elections are fewer than 50 days away.

Here, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections, are the main voter registration dates for this year, as well as information on how to check your Illinois voter registration.

Registering to Vote in Illinois

In Illinois, you can register to vote when you cast your ballot in person on Tuesday, November 8th.

However, there are deadlines to keep in mind if you choose to register in advance, either mail or online.

Mail-in voting in Illinois

Anyone in Illinois may vote by mail. You will not receive a mail-in ballot unless you specifically request one. Here’s what you should know:

The deadline to request a ballot via mail is November 3. Here is where to submit a request.
Date limit for returning a mail-in ballot: Vote must be postmarked by November 8 and received by November 22.
The last day to submit a ballot via mail in person is November 8.
