Metro Area Students Explore Job Opportunities at Intern Omaha
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Students from across the Omaha metro got the chance to check out some job opportunities at local companies on Tuesday.
Intern Omaha held their exhibition to help them connect.
More than 200 high school students from 11 schools were able to test the participation of 25 enterprises.
It is hoped that this will introduce students to potential career paths, but will also help businesses.
“From an employer’s point of view, one of our advantages is that we meet young professionals where they are. they are really well prepared. we are finding great talent and also just starting to interact with our young professionals in the community.” – Katie Headley, Director of Organizational Experience at Access Bank.
The program works to provide a one-year paid internship in in-demand industries such as IT, trade, automotive diesel technology and business.
