March Madness: Creighton Bluejays Preparing for the NCAA Tournament

DENVER (Nebraska) — The first of many NCAA March Madness games concluded on Thursday, with the Creighton Bluejays men’s basketball team in the thick of things in Denver.

The Bluejays play in NC State on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm and hope to stay in Rocky Mountain State until Sunday evening.

The Jays just took to the court on Thursday afternoon at the arena, also home to the Denver Nuggets. The purpose of these NCAA Tournament pre-game pre-game workouts is to gain control of the court and lines of sight.

However, teams will not work out game plans. The practice is open to the public and they are not going to share what they hope will give them an advantage.

Instead, it’s more of a casual practice with everything on the line on a Friday.

“The path we took to get here was a slightly unique start to the season, so strong that we lost six in a row and then fought our way back to finish third in the Big East with two weeks to go. a chance to win a championship,” said coach Greg McDermott. “It was a fun ride with this group; it’s amazing to be in the NCAA tournament. Let’s see if we can do our best and try to stretch this season out as long as we can.”

Creighton is in sixth place; Wolf Pack – 11. Judging by these figures, it may seem that there is a large distance between the two teams, but on Friday, there will no doubt be a battle.
