Man sentenced to over six years in prison for selling meth in Omaha
LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) – A man was sentenced Friday to more than six years in prison for selling methamphetamines in Omaha.
The US attorney’s office said 45-year-old Hugo Martha-Mejia of Mexico will serve five years of probation following his prison sentence.
There is no parole in the federal system.
In 2020, a confidential source from the Drug Enforcement Administration met with Martha-Mejia about buying a pound of meth at an Omaha gas station.
Authorities were recording and monitoring the drug dealing, according to the prosecutor’s office.
After the deal was done, the authorities arrested Martha-Mejia. He was later indicted by a federal grand jury.
