Man Loses Thousands Of Dollars In Tools After Thief Breaks Into Semi Truck In Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) – A man has lost thousands of dollars after his truck’s toolbox was ransacked.

Lincoln Police say officers were called to TO Haas Tire at 24th and O Street Tuesday morning.

A man told police his semi-trailer was parked at the Holiday Inn in Amber Hill Court and that he had noticed the toolbox was damaged when he arrived at the tire shop.

When he opened the box, the man found that all of his tools were missing. A spool of thread was also missing from the trailer.

Police estimate the loss at $4,293 and think about 20 tools were taken.
