Man arrested after running away from three-car collision in East Lincoln
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) — The Lincoln Police Department said their K-9 helped track down a man who fled the scene of an accident on Saturday.
The LPD was dispatched to the crash site at 70th and O Streets at 1:07 am.
Police said a man in a Mercedes heading east on O Street violated a traffic light and crashed into a Ford truck on 70th Street, which was turning onto O Street. Police said the truck collided with a Cadillac as a result of the collision.
Police said the 49-year-old driver of the Mercedes fled the scene and was later found nearby with the help of a police sniffer dog.
Williams was taken to jail and cited for leaving the scene of an accident with an injury, driving during a suspension, driving under the influence (.101), violating a traffic light, and lacking proof of insurance.
Several Mercedes and Ford passengers received minor injuries at a local hospital.
