Man arrested after fleeing authorities in Fort Worth, Texas

Fort, Worth, Texas – When police in Tarrant County had to pluck a suspect out of a lake, it was an unexpected water rescue.

Chief of Police of Lake Worth J.T. Manoushagian released a video of the arrest online.

Tuesday afternoon in a Fort Worth business, a guy allegedly stole a gun, according to Fort Worth police. The vehicle he was in was spotted parked near Lake Worth after he exited the store.

“When officers approached the subject, he actually dove into the lake, presumably to avoid being caught,” said Fort Worth Police Department Officer Daniel Segura.

The suspect may not have anticipated that Lake Worth Police were preparing to utilize a boat.

Within minutes, officers spotted, retrieved, and returned the man to land, where he was subsequently detained and charged with stealing. The culprit is captured on video clutching onto the edge of a boat before being carried to a pier and detained.

“This is likely the first time I’ve seen it in my nearly 21 years.” “Therefore, it is not very prevalent,” Segura stated.

The man’s identity has not been disclosed.

According to Segura, the inquiry is underway.
