LPD will take additional steps to help reduce St. Patrick’s Day accidents and accidents.

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska). Lincoln Police will conduct a special audit to reduce the number of car accidents and drunk driving violations on St. Patrick’s Day.

LPD announced that on Friday, March 17, they will be taking additional action to reduce traffic accidents and disabled drivers, and to promote the responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages throughout the city.

Officers will be added to each of Lincoln’s four population police teams to conduct alcohol compliance checks at various licensed wine establishments. Officers will also conduct a thorough traffic enforcement check, with particular attention to traffic violations and DUIs.

Grant funding for additional participating officers will be provided by the Nebraska Department of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
