LPD: Driver sustained life-threatening injuries after Lincoln crash in Northeast
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Lincoln police are investigating an accident that rushed one person to a hospital with life-threatening injuries in northeast Lincoln late Thursday night.
At 11:54 p.m., officers responded to an iPhone warning message: “iPhone owner involved in a car accident” on Huntington Avenue, east of 41st Street, in a divided median.
Arriving officers witnessed the Honda Accord moving west on Huntington when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree in the middle.
The 23-year-old driver, who was the only passenger inside, was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the LPD.
The police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
