Looking to the future: The most beautiful building in the world opened in Dubai
The Museum of the Future has opened in Dubai with a laser light show, and is located near the Burj Khalifa. It is described as the most beautiful building on Earth.
It is decorated with Arabic calligraphy with quotes from the ruler of Dubai and the Prime Minister of the UAE, Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. The sheikh is one of the main leaders of the new Emirates mission, which aims to reduce the country’s dependence on energy. They want to attract technology, financial and other companies to Dubai.
The museum is 77 meters high and covers 30,000 square meters, and combines three elements – greenery, structure and air. Its task is to offer space for innovative and futuristic ideologies, services and products.
National Geographic has put the building on the list of the most beautiful museums in the world, and the project is credited to the architect Sean Kiel. The building is self-sustaining, powered by 4,000 megawatts of solar energy.
The first exhibition at the museum invited visitors to peek into 2071.
