Lincoln police have arrested local resident for stabbing a 36-year-old woman at a mobile home park to death

LINCOLN, Nebraska – A guy from Lincoln has been detained in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 36-year-old woman at a mobile home park.

Wednesday around 10 a.m., Charles Alexander, 61, was brought into custody near 11th and Lincoln Mall. He is charged with second-degree murder and the use of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a felony.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police discovered a woman with stab wounds to her abdomen at Contempo at the Highlands near N 1st and W Fairfield St. First responders attempted to save her, but she succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Lincoln.

The police reported that Alexander and the victim were acquainted, but they are still determining the nature of their relationship. The police are still investigating the cause of the violence.

The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
