Lincoln inmate, reported missing last December, was found and arrested in Dallas, Texas
LINCOLN, Nebraska – A man who was reported missing by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services in December was apprehended in Texas recently.
Tuesday, Lajuan Jones was arrested in Dallas, Texas, according to the announcement. According to reports, he was discovered at a relative’s residence.
The NDCS reported Jones as missing on December 13 when he failed to report to his work assignment after departing the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln that morning and before arriving at his workplace.
On February 11, 2022, he was scheduled for release on charges of burglary and theft in Douglas County. In October 2017, he began serving his sentence of eight to ten years.
