LFR: LPD rescues a villager from the roof of a burning house near 30th&D
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) – The Lincoln Fire and Rescue Service thanks Lincoln Police for rescuing the residents of a home that caught fire early Monday morning.
Battalion commander Aharon Pospisil says firefighters were called shortly before 1:00 am to a house near 30th and D Streets because of a fire report inside. When Pospisil arrived, he said that the LPD removed one person from the roof, as well as two others and a dog from the building.

Pospisil says firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly once inside. He added that $30,000 in damages was caused by an improperly discarded cigarette.
Pospisil says the three residents and their dog were moved and that no one was hurt during the incident. Pospisil stated that there were no officers in need of hospitalization.
