Leucine and arginine in certain foods can help burn visceral fat “quickly”
Visceral fat, also known as belly fat, contains important organs such as the liver and can cause serious complications due to its location. Thus, the accumulation of this type of fat can compromise vital functions, increasing the risk of chronic complications such as heart disease. Fortunately, food can serve as an antidote to visceral obesity.
While weight loss diets usually target shivering fat right under your skin, visceral fat is stored deep inside your belly.
This place can disappear from sight and from memory, but it is very important to keep this fat to a minimum.
Fortunately, research shows that there are many foods and drinks that can target the culprit of obesity, with protein playing an important role.
From a chemical point of view, protein is made up of amino acids, which are organic compounds made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, or sulfur.

Physician Nisa Aslam of Aminoscience Metabolism Support Supplement said there are two important amino acids when it comes to getting rid of visceral fat.
Aslam said: “Two amino acids play a key role in fat burning – leucine and arginine.
“[They] are a dietary necessity and are used to produce two hormones involved in body fat and weight control.
“It’s insulin and glucagon, regulators of our feeling of fullness, telling us we are full.
“They play a key role in blood sugar balance, which contributes to the loss of abdominal (visceral) fat and weight in general.”
However, when people are trying to lose weight, they focus on restricting their calorie intake, which can also lead to protein being cut off.
Fortunately, there are many different foods that can help you get enough protein, and therefore amino acids.
Aslam said: “Leucine is found in both animal and plant protein sources, including cheese, sunflower seeds, meat, fish, peanuts, almonds and oats.

“Arginine is found in all nuts, which are its richest sources, as well as in fish, chicken, eggs, and beans.”
What’s more, small amounts of these two powerful amino acids should be enough to help you burn visceral fat.
The expert said: “Quite small amounts of leucine and arginine are needed to burn visceral fat to make up for any nutritional gaps.
“These amino acids benefit from the help of other nutrients such as thiamine, niacin, vitamin B6 and zinc, which are essential for energy metabolism.
“Botanicals like green tea and guarana also boost metabolism and help reduce visceral fat.”
Plus, these amino acids don’t wait and can start burning fat “quite quickly.”
If you’re not sure if you can get enough leucine and arginine from your diet, supplements may be your best bet.
Assam suggested Aminoscience Metabolism Support because “it fits the bill as it fills any nutritional gaps and gets you there faster.”
